KUCHING: The Youth Assembly next week will give young people in Sarawak an opportunity to identify economic opportunities in various projects relating to the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (Score).
State Assistant Minister for Youth Affairs and Training Larry Sng said the assembly, to be held at the Bor-neo Convention Centre Kuching here, would have an exhibition as well as workshops and conferences to enlighten youths, especially those in secondary school on the employment opportunities available in the development corridor.
“We hope the youths can seek out the opportunities available,” he said at the signing of a memorandum of understanding by 10 youths and campus organisations here in support of the Tomorrow’s Leaders Summit 2011 to be held as part of the assembly.
The three-day assembly from March 18 - with the theme “Build the Future on the Present Success” - is expected to attract about 5,000 youths from all over Sarawak. —Bernama
