PETALING JAYA: Jobs portal MyStarJob.com had its first prize-giving ceremony for its weekly Register & Win contest on Wednesday.
Creative director Loh Chan Wai, 50, beat more than a thousand entries to win the grand prize of an Apple iPad. Five others walked away with consolation prizes of gift cards worth RM100 each.
Loh, who is from Petaling Jaya, said he could not believe that he had won the grand prize.
“I'm very excited,” he said, adding that he had previously entered other contests to win an iPad but was unsuccessful.
Serm Teck Choon, head of JustJobs Sdn Bhd, the company behind MyStarJob.com, presented the prize to an ecstatic Loh.
“We hope the contest will help create awareness regarding the vastness of the job market as well as bring together more jobseekers and employers,” said Serm.
The Register & Win contest ends on Feb 12.
