CIMB’s Breakfast with CEO a hit among students

KUALA LUMPUR - More than 100 students turned up at the Breakfast with CEO session yesterday hosted by TalentCorp with the chief executive of CIMB Group, Datuk Seri Nazir Razak.

This is the fourth installment of TalentCorp’s Breakfast with CEO series, designed to nurture students’ interests in their course of studies and raise awareness among young Malaysian talents on the exciting career opportunities in key sectors of the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) by providing key insights from leading employers in different industries.

During the session, students were exposed to the various career opportunities available in in Malaysia, specifically in being a part of a dynamic organisation like CIMB which continues to grow strongly and is transforming into a regional champion.

Nazir also shared his background and professional journey with the students, and discussed career-related issues that will eventually help these young people to shape their future decisions.

“We are excited to host these bright young talents at the Breakfast with CEO session today as this provides an opportunity for a leading employer like ourselves to engage and interact closely with these students. This is a good platform to generate awareness among students on various career options and allowing organisations like us to better understand them,” Nazir said.

The series, which forms part of TalentCorp’s Semester Break Programmes, kicked off in June this year.

TalentCorp CEO, Johan Merican, says that this series is an important move to engage students both in local and overseas institutions on the career opportunities available in Malaysia.

The Breakfast with CEO series will be covering industries such as engineering, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), financial markets, sciences and more; and are held during universities’ semester breaks every year.
