Job Description We are looking for a motivated M&E Estimator to join our team, covering both pre-contract and post-contract estimating for our M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) substructure works. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our office.

About the Role

As an M&E Estimator, you will handle the full estimating cycle — from pricing tenders and preparing cost estimates at pre-contract stage, through to managing progress claims, variations, and final accounts once the contract is awarded.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Contract

• Study tender documents, drawings, and specifications for M&E works
• Prepare cost estimates, budget pricing, and tender submissions
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Perform take-off and measurement of M&E works
• Analyze and compare subcontractor/supplier quotations

Post-Contract

• Prepare and manage progress claims, valuations, and interim payment certificates
• Measure and price variation orders (VOs) and change requests
• Review subcontractor claims, quotations, and invoices
• Assist in preparing final account documentation
• Track project costs against budget and flag variances

General

• Liaise with quantity surveyors, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers on cost-related matters
• Maintain accurate records of measurements, quantities, and cost data
• Keep up to date with current market rates and pricing trends for M&E works
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage 

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in M&E estimating, covering both pre-contract and post-contract work
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating
• Good understanding of construction contracts and documentation
• Detail-oriented with strong numerical and analytical skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
